The oasis system of the Ajdir region has unique characteristics that distinguish it from other systems and that were behind its durability for centuries. This system is based on the optimal use of agricultural land located between sand dunes (el-bared), and agricultural practices consistent with the concept of agroecology. This system allows rational management of natural resources available to achieve sustainable development taking into account the social, economic and environmental aspects of the area. The study proved that Ajdir Oasis is an ideal model for sustainable development through their agricultural practices (using manure, modern irrigation techniques, minimizing the use of chemicals)en_US
